WALTHAM, MA (February 10, 2006) GameLogic, a leading innovator of regulatory-compliant, new-media gaming entertainment platforms, announced today, following an Independent Test Laboratory (ITL) evaluation, the Mississippi Gaming Commission (MGC) found PlayAway to be permissible in the state of Mississippi.
The MCG indicated that no additional formal approvals are necessary for PlayAway, as the product does not have any effect on the operation or the integrity of the underlying system, which in this case is keno. GameLogic's keno system provider, XpertX, already licensed in a number of jurisdictions, is awaiting MGC final approval.
PlayAway players purchase and redeem tickets at participating casinos. Later, they log on to a special page of the casino s website to reveal their winnings in a Game Gallery full of casino favorites like slots, cards and entertaining themed games.
"We created the Reveal Entertainment category to give legal casino operators the means to offer their players casino games on the Web in a compliant way for the very first time," said GameLogic Chairman and CEO Steven Kane. "We are pleased the MCG recognizes PlayAway is a reveal-entertainment system and are thrilled to add Mississippi to the growing list of states in which we are approved to offer PlayAway." PlayAway is operational in Nevada and has been approved by the New Jersey Casino Control Commission.
