Winners Announced for Seventh Annual Global Gaming Business Gaming & Technology Awards

Global Gaming Business magazine today announced the winners of the Seventh Annual Gaming & Technology Awards. The 2009 Gaming & Technology Awards are the industry's standard in this field, recognizing excellence in innovation and practical application in all gaming disciplines. "For the first time, we included an award for table game product or innovation, and the response was tremendous," said Roger Gros, publisher of Global Gaming Business magazine, which administers the awards program. "The number of entries this year surpassed any previous year, once again validating that the Gaming & Technology Awards are the 'gold standard' in the casino industry."

Judges for the awards were: Claudia Winkler, president, GHI Solutions Inc. in Las Vegas; Rob Russell, gaming analyst, Regulatory Management Counselors P.C.; James Wortman, director of the Gaming Education and Research Institute, at the University of Houston's Conrad N. Hilton College; Charles Lombardo, consultant and former vice president of slot operations for Seminole Gaming; and Peter Johns, director of slot operations, casino division for MGM Grand Macau.
